Community Grant Awards

St. Luke’s Free Medical Clinic: $15,000 
This grant helps provide medical care and health services to low-income, uninsured residents of Spartanburg County, aiming to improve health outcomes and quality of life.

The Family Effect: $15,000 
Funding from this grant will be used to reduce addiction by providing comprehensive services and support to families affected by substance use disorders.

Free Medical Clinic of Cherokee County: $15,000 
Funds will be used to provide free medical care to uninsured, low-income residents of Cherokee County, ensuring access to essential health services and improving overall community health.

Healthy Smiles of Spartanburg: $15,000 
This grant supports the improvement of oral health of underserved children in Spartanburg County through preventive services, education and access to dental care.

Project R.E.S.T.: $15,000 
This grant helps provide emergency shelter, counseling, advocacy and support services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Spartanburg, Cherokee and Union counties.

Angels Charge Ministries: $15,000 
Funds will be used for transitional housing, case management and support services to women transitioning from incarceration back into the community to help them achieve self-sufficiency and reduce recidivism.

Strategic Spartanburg: $10,000 
Funding will support our local organization that leverages data and evidence to improve the quality of life in Spartanburg County by conducting research that informs policy and practice.

Live Healthy Spartanburg: $5,000 
This community-wide effort is dedicated to improving the health and wellness of Spartanburg residents by addressing key health issues, promoting healthy lifestyles and ensuring access to healthcare services and resources.

Spartanburg Academic Movement: $214,285 
Funding will support Movement 2030 to improve academic achievement and readiness for the healthcare workforce.

Spartanburg Area Conservancy: $15,000 
This grant will rehabilitate the Upper Chinquapin Greenway for enjoyment of residents of the Hilltop neighborhood in Spartanburg and the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. 

 

Hospital Grant Awards

Hospice Home Entrance: $145,830
This grant supports the completion of new entrance and increase access to the Upper Chinquapin Greenway for the Hilltop neighborhood.

Breast Cancer: $68,950 
In partnership with Pledge the Pink, this grant will purchase wireless equipment that precisely targets affected tissue to pinpoint its location within 1 millimeter, resulting in more successful surgeries, optimized breast conservation strategies and enhanced outcomes for women.

Unite Us: $70,000 
This referral software will connect health care with community partners to deliver proactive, targeted interventions, tracking the impact on reducing disparities and improving patients’ health and well-being.

Union Community Health Worker: $28,625 
Providing free medical care and health services to low-income, uninsured residents of Spartanburg, Cherokee and Union Counties, aiming to improve health outcomes and quality of life.

3 Main Mural: $4,000 
Working with the Healing Arts artists, this grant will be used to install a mural in the extended stay surgical unit hallways to create a warm and welcoming environment for patients and families.

Centering Pediatrics: $29,995 
This grant will provide training for the Center for Pediatrics in an evidence-based model to improve infant and child health outcomes, build parenting confidence and create a supportive community for families.

Rehabilitation Virtual Reality: $127,000 
These funds will help implement virtual reality systems to improve rehabilitation of motor function, cognition and movement in pediatric rehab, neurological outpatient rehab, and acute care.
