Spartanburg Regional Foundation makes an impact on community health in the Upstate by awarding grants to areas of Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System and local non-profit organizations. Requests are reviewed by a committee of community volunteers, who make recommendations to the Foundation’s Board of Trustees. In 2016, the Foundation funded 27 grants, totaling $695,000.
Those interested in requesting a grant need to submit a letter of intent in February of the grant year. Selected applicants will then be asked to submit a full grant proposal in the spring, and funding decisions are announced in June.
