Alexis Whitmire

Alexis Whitmire has served as the Grants Program Manager since November 2021. Her areas of expertise include planning, organizing, managing, and reporting all aspects of the Foundation’s grant program. She also oversees local and federal external grant opportunities for community organizations and hospital departments. 

Prior to joining Spartanburg Regional, Alexis managed a large COVID-19 research program at the Atlanta VA in coordination with CDC. She brings valuable experience in public health to the Foundation. She holds both a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and a Master of Public Health from the University of Georgia. Alexis resides in Spartanburg with her partner, Phil, and their golden retriever.
