Because of contributions from our community, our tiniest and most critical patients are given the chance to take big steps forward in their growth and development. Your donation to the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System NICU not only helps our babies flourish, but provides much-needed support to their families during a challenging time.
The NICU at Spartanburg Medical Center is a special place. It serves some of our community’s most vulnerable patients: infants born prematurely or with other serious health challenges.
As a Level III NICU – one of only five in South Carolina – the care provided is comprehensive and top-notch. The expertise of our doctors and nurses, along with cutting-edge technology and equipment, ensures that patients receive the best possible clinical care. The NICU is more than specially trained experts.
At the heart of everything that happens in the NICU is compassion. Our caregivers bond with these tiny babies and their parents, who often spend months together in the NICU. They celebrate milestones and sometimes cry together during difficult times. As one parent put it, the doctors and nurses “are like family.”
We interviewed patient families, volunteers and caregivers who share a common bond, as well as unique perspectives on the amazing world of Spartanburg Regional’s NICU. Read and share these stories with others who may be interested to learn more about the special care and treatment we give our tiniest patients.
