For a family whose loved one has a terminal diagnosis, gathering for a meal can bring comfort and build memories. The planning and cooking required, however, may be a burden. That’s why Spartanburg Regional Foundation provides meals for Spartanburg Regional Hospice patients and their families at Easter and Thanksgiving.
The meals, prepared by Wade’s Restaurant, feed 10 – 12 people. Volunteers deliver the meals to patients’ homes.
For $55 you can provide a meal for a family going through a difficult time. To make a donation in support of this special program, complete the form below or mail a check to:

For each of the past several years, I have helped deliver meals at Easter to Spartanburg Regional Hospice patients and their families. I’d like to share a few thoughts on this experience and ask you to consider making a donation to support this wonderful program.
Holidays are a time for people to come together, but for families with a loved one facing a terminal diagnosis, planning and preparing a large meal can be burdensome.
The Spartanburg Regional Foundation Hospice Special Needs Fund provides meals from Wade’s Restaurant so that these families can enjoy a special time together and build memories.
Volunteers deliver the meals to the homes of patients and their families. This has been such a rewarding experience for me. The families are so appreciative. I always hear expressions of gratitude such as, “We can’t thank y’all enough.”
One man whose wife was in hospice care told me that it meant so much to him that he would be able to provide a meal for their children when they came over to visit their mom.
In addition to delivering Easter meals, I am a member of the Spartanburg Regional Foundation Hospice Division board. It is an honor to serve.
The Spartanburg Regional Hospice team is truly committed to doing everything possible to provide comfort and compassion for patients and their families. The Easter meals program is one of the ways they go the extra mile, and I am proud to support this effort.
Thank you for your consideration. Please know that your donation will bring hope and comfort to a family that will be deeply grateful.
