An Uplifting Event: Coming Together to Stop Breast Cancer
An Uplifting Event
Monday, October 17 at 11:30 a.m.
Spartanburg Regional Foundation’s annual Uplifting Event is a time when women throughout our community come together to celebrate efforts in the battle against breast cancer.
Highlights of the luncheon include messages of courage and hope from cancer survivors as well as timely perspectives on breast cancer prevention and treatment. Co-chairs for the 2016 Uplifting Event are Carole Davis and Lib Orr, community advocates for breast health.
In 2015, more than 600 participants attended the luncheon, raising more than $140,000 for the Mammography Assistance Program and the Missy Rowland Turner Fund. These proceeds helped 1,633 women who received mammography screening through the Bearden-Josey Center for Breast Health.
Attending or supporting our Uplifting Event as a sponsor is a wonderful way to promote breast health and to further the Bearden-Josey Center for Breast Health’s mission of providing excellent breast cancer screening, prevention and treatment.
